Package of the Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand: The Land of Gods
Uttarakhand, also known as Devbhoomi or the Land of Gods, is home to numerous temples that welcome devotees year-round. Among the many revered religious sites, the Char Dham Yatra stands out as one of the most prominent pilgrimages. This sacred journey covers four holy destinations: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath, all nestled high in the Himalayas. In Hindi, ‘char’ means four, and ‘dham’ refers to religious destinations.
These high-altitude shrines are accessible for only six months each year, opening in the summer (April or May) and closing with the onset of winter (October or November). The Char Dham Yatra traditionally follows a clockwise direction, starting at Yamunotri, moving to Gangotri, then Kedarnath, and concluding at Badrinath. Pilgrims can complete the journey by road or by air, with helicopter services available for convenience.
Embark on this sacred pilgrimage to experience the divine serenity and breathtaking beauty of Uttarakhand’s most revered temples.
